Accessible Facilities– Pier 17 is an ADA-compliant facility. Accessible seating, restrooms and concessions are available.  

Address – The entrance to Pier 17 is located at the intersection of Fulton and South Streets, at 89 South Street, New York, NY 10038.

Alcohol Policy – All guests who appear to be forty (40) years of age or younger shall present a valid form of ID with proof of age in order to purchase alcoholic beverages, such as:

Valid US Driver's License
Valid ID card issued by the US State or Federal Government
Valid US Passport and/or Passport Card
Valid US military ID
Valid Foreign Passport with Age verification

Alcohol sales may be limited per customer, based on the event. Pier 17 reserves the right to refuse the sale of alcohol to any guest.  Guests are not permitted to bring alcoholic beverages into Pier 17 or depart with beverages purchased inside.

Animals – Only trained and licensed service or guide animals are permitted onto The Rooftop at Pier 17 Winterland. 

Baby Changing Stations – Located in the family restrooms on the 4th floor.

Bags – The Seaport strongly discourages guests from bringing unnecessary bags and backpacks into the venue.  Oversize bags and luggage will not be permitted at any time.  All bags will be subject to search, which may delay your entry.  The Seaport assumes no responsibility for unattended bags, which may be removed from the premises and destroyed. Lockers are available free of charge inside the Seaport Skate House, and locks can be purchased for $10 if needed.

Cameras/Photography – Cameras are permitted at The Rooftop at Pier 17 Winterland.

Children's Admission/Skating Policy – Children aged 5 years old or younger skate free with a paying adult (includes admission and skate rental). 

Code of Conduct – Guidelines set forth to keep Pier 17 a friendly and safe environment. Includes:
Disruptive behavior
Failure to follow instructions of event personnel
Foul or abusive language or obscene gestures
Interference of the event
Intoxication or signs of impairment related to drugs or alcohol
Sitting in a location other than your ticketed seat
Smoking
Verbal or Physical harassment of any kind

Elevators – Three passenger elevators are located near the West Entrance of Pier 17 building, and may also be accessed from the Main Entrance by making a left beyond the escalators.

Emergencies and Evacuation – Should you encounter any kind of emergency, please see your nearest staff member and call 911. In the event of an emergency evacuation, please follow directions of staff members to exit in a calm, orderly and safe manner.

Entrances – The general entrance for The Rooftop at Pier 17 Winterland is on the South side (opposite Brooklyn Bridge side) of the Pier 17 building.  Physically-challenged guests will enter using the elevators located near the West Entrance.

Escalators – Public escalators for access to all floors are located in the Atrium of Pier 17.  Please use only designated escalators to The Rooftop at Pier 17 Winterland, which in most cases will be beyond the security checkpoint on the North side of the building.

First Aid – The safety of our guests is of utmost importance.  If you need medical assistance, please see a staff member immediately. EMTs will be present during all publicly ticketed Rooftop Events.

Green Initiatives – Pier 17 is committed to “being green”. Many of our spaces include energy savings, composting and recycling.

Impaired Guests – We at Pier 17 strive on making every guest enjoy their experience.  Our staff reserves the right to eject or deny entry to any guest who appears to be impaired or causing a disturbance to other guests.

Lockers – Lockers are available, free of charge. You may bring your own lock or purchase one for $11 at Seaport Skate House.  Bags are not permitted on the ice, and we are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Prohibited Items – For safety reasons, guests will be refused entry if they are in possession of any prohibited items.  If found inside the venue with a prohibited item, the item will be confiscated and the guest may be ejected.  The following items are not permitted:
Alcohol, Bottles, Cans, Coolers, thermoses, etc.
Animal other than service animals
Balls of any kind
Illegal Substances
Laser Pens
Oversize Bags or Luggage
Projectiles
Signs and Banners
Weapons

ANY ITEM DEEMED INAPPROPRIATE OR DANGEROUS BY MANAGEMENT

Recycling – Pier 17 is committed to keeping the environment clean. Please help by doing your part. Please place all plastic and aluminum bottles and cans in the recycling containers located throughout the building.

Restrooms - Restrooms are located on Level 4 - Men’s, Women’s and Family. “Ice Skate-Friendly” bathrooms are located within the Seaport Skate House. 

Rink Hours Of Operation – The Winterland Rink is open daily from 10/11am - late.

Rink Tickets – A ticket must be purchased to ice skate. Rink admission is on a first-come, first-serve basis. You may purchase Rink Tickets and rentals online or onsite at the Seaport Skate House. Everyone in your party must wait in line together to purchase tickets should there be a wait. Non-skating spectators are welcome, free of charge.

Skating lengths will not typically be enforced, but please note skate time may be limited to 90 minutes during times of high volume.

Season Membership Pass – Season membership passes to the Winterland Rink are available for purchase online and onsite at the Seaport Skate House. Membership discounts are offered for residents residing in the following zip codes:  10004, 10005, 10006, 10007, 10038, and 10280.    

Security – Guests may be subject to a security check which may include magnetometers, wands, bag checks, etc.  Guests refusing to agree to a security check will not be admitted.  Please plan accordingly.

Signs – Not permitted

Skate Rentals – Skate rentals are available online or onsite at the Seaport Skate House. Please note guests who wish to bring their own skates are permitted to do so, so long as they are not speed skates.    

Skate Sizes– Our skate sizes range from a toddler 8 to an adult 15.    

Smoking Policy – The Rooftop at Pier 17 Winterland is a SMOKE FREE FACILITY, including electronic cigarettes. Failure to comply may result in ejection.

Stairways – Stairways are located throughout the facility and are available for egress ONLY.

Strollers – Strollers are permitted at The Rooftop at Pier 17 Winterland, however, they must be attended for at all times. We are not responsible for lost or stolen strollers.

Umbrellas – Umbrellas are permitted at The Rooftop at Pier 17 Winterland.

Waivers – Waivers must be signed onsite by all people participating on on-ice activities, or signed by their parent or guardian. See waiver here.

Water Fountains – Located near the restrooms on Level 4

Weather – The Rooftop at Pier 17 Winterland is an outdoor venue so please dress accordingly. In the event Winterland Rink closes due to inclement weather, you will be notified immediately.

Should the rink close prior to your arrival,  you will be issued a refund. If your skate time is interrupted due to rink closure, you will receive a voucher for another skate session.

Wheelchairs – Disabled guests are welcome to participate on the ice, and will be assisted by staff.    

Wristbands– Wristbands must be worn by everyone entering the ice, and must be clearly visible to rink staff at all times.
